Abstract

This study entitled The Influence of Leadership and Work Environment on Athletes Achievement
with Motivation as an Intervening Variable in Ipsi Lubuklinggau City. The objectives to be
achieved in this study are to determine partially and simultaneously the influence of Leadership
and Work Environment on Athletes' Achievement with Motivation as an Intervening variable at
IPSI Lubuklinggau City. The samples in this study were all 48 people consisting of 32 IPSI
administrators in Lubuklinggau City and 16 athletes. The data collection technique in writing this
thesis uses observation, documentation and questionnaires. The analysis technique uses t-test
analysis, coefficient of determination, f-test, and multiple linear regression. Based on the analysis
and discussion, it can be concluded that, the results of the t-test, obtained t-count Leadership (X1)
of -0.673, t-count of Work Environment (X2) of 02,190 and t-count of Motivation (Z) of 2.589
while at a significant level = 0.05 with df = (n-2), df = 46 (32 – 2) is 1,678, so the hypothesis is
accepted. And the results of the F test that the Fcount obtained is 4.731 > Ftable = 3.20 and the
simultaneous significant level of sig F is 0.006b. This shows that Leadership (X1) and Work
Environment (X2) have a significant influence on Athlete Achievement (Y) with Motivation (Z) as
an intervening.
